PaintUp
Warranty
We stand behind the work we complete. Eligible PaintUp projects include a workmanship warranty so that if something covered goes wrong after handover, you know who to contact.

Workmanship, in writing
The exact warranty applicable to your project is always mentioned in your PaintUp quotation and warranty certificate.
How long is my project covered?
Coverage applies to the specific surfaces and scope completed by PaintUp, and is subject to inspection.
Home Painting
1 Year
Interior, exterior, repainting and fresh painting carry a 1-year PaintUp workmanship warranty.
Waterproofing
Up to 2 Years
Coverage applies to the specific area and treatment completed by PaintUp. New leakage from another source is not automatically covered.
Designer Walls
Up to 2 Years
Workmanship-related issues such as abnormal peeling or lifting of the applied finish may be covered. Natural variation in handcrafted finishes is not a defect.
Wood Finishes
Up to 2 Years
Eligible workmanship-related coating failure may be covered depending on the finish and scope. Scratches, dents and everyday wear are not covered.
What's Covered
Peeling or flaking where the coating fails because of an issue with PaintUp’s application or agreed preparation work
Abnormal blistering where PaintUp determines the problem resulted from the painting workmanship
Application-related finish failure where the completed coating fails because the agreed application process was not followed correctly
Eligible waterproofing workmanship on the specific area treated by PaintUp
Workmanship-related peeling, lifting or failure of an applied designer finish
Eligible workmanship-related coating failure on refinished woodwork
What's Not Covered
Water leakage from another source — plumbing, neighbouring properties, roofs, terraces, external walls or other untreated areas
Structural movement — new cracks, settlement, building movement or structural defects
Existing underlying problems that were identified but not approved for treatment
Moisture or seepage entering the surface after painting, unless the relevant waterproofing treatment itself is covered
Physical damage — scratches, dents, impact, drilling, renovation work or damage caused by another contractor
Normal wear and tear, including colour fading from sunlight, weather or ageing
Improper maintenance or cleaning with harsh chemicals, excessive scrubbing or unsuitable methods
Alteration by another person — repair, repainting, polishing or modification of the covered area after completion
Environmental or external conditions — flooding, fire, severe water ingress or natural disasters
Customer-supplied materials selected outside PaintUp’s recommended system
Natural variation in handcrafted decorative finishes, which is not considered a defect

Product warranty vs PaintUp warranty
These are not always the same thing.
Some paint, coating or waterproofing manufacturers may provide their own product warranty. A manufacturer’s product warranty is governed by that manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
The PaintUp Warranty primarily covers the eligible workmanship and service scope completed by PaintUp, as specified in your project documents.
If a manufacturer’s warranty applies, we can provide the relevant product or invoice details available for the project.
What happens after a claim?
Every claim is checked before corrective work is approved. A warranty request does not automatically mean that the issue is covered.
PaintUp first determines:
- Whether the warranty is still active
- Whether the affected surface was part of PaintUp's original scope
- What caused the problem
- Whether the issue falls within the applicable warranty
If the issue is covered, PaintUp will arrange the required corrective service. If it is not covered, the team can explain the finding and, where possible, provide a separate quotation for the required work.
Warranty conditions
- The applicable warranty must be recorded in the PaintUp quotation, invoice, completion record or warranty certificate.
- The customer's project payments must be completed as agreed for the warranty to remain valid.
- The warranty applies only to areas and services completed by PaintUp.
- PaintUp must be given reasonable access to inspect the claimed issue.
- Corrective work under warranty will be determined by PaintUp based on the nature of the covered defect.
- Warranty coverage is not transferable to work performed outside the original PaintUp scope.
- If another contractor alters or repairs the covered surface before PaintUp can inspect it, the relevant warranty claim may no longer be valid.
- Any manufacturer warranty is separate and subject to the manufacturer’s own terms.
Commercial projects
Warranty varies according to the scope, surface and service provided. The applicable period will be clearly mentioned in the commercial project quotation and warranty certificate and may be up to 2 years.
