02

Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a contract to book or purchase PaintUp services.

If you are booking a service for a property you do not own, you confirm that you have the authority or permission required to authorise the work.

03

Site Visits

PaintUp may require a site visit before providing a final quotation.

The site visit may include:

  • Property inspection
  • Measurements
  • Surface assessment
  • Requirement discussion
  • Photos or videos for project documentation
  • Treatment or service recommendations
  • Preparation of a quotation

Standard Site Visit

The current working site visit fee is ₹99. The applicable amount will always be shown before payment.

Adjustment Against Project

Where stated at the time of booking, the ₹99 site visit amount will be adjusted against the final PaintUp project value if the customer proceeds with the eligible project. The adjustment applies once and cannot be converted into cash after being used against a project.

04

Express Site Visits

PaintUp may offer an Express Site Visit or other priority-booking option for an additional fee.

Priority visits are subject to:

  • Service location
  • Team availability
  • Working hours
  • Travel conditions
  • Property access
  • Other operational circumstances

A priority fee does not guarantee project commencement on the same day. The exact visit fee and expected scheduling will be shown before booking.

05

Site Visit Cancellation and Rescheduling

A booked site visit can be rescheduled or cancelled at any time before the visit takes place, from My Bookings on the website or from the PaintUp app.

Rescheduling a site visit:

  • Rescheduling is free and can be done as many times as needed.
  • A visit can be moved to any date and time window still open in your city.
  • The earliest slot available when rescheduling is the next day.
  • The visit fee already paid carries over to the new slot. Nothing further is charged.

Cancelling a site visit:

  • A visit can be cancelled any time before it takes place.
  • The site visit fee is not refunded on cancellation.
  • A cancelled visit cannot be reinstated. A new visit can be booked at any time.

If your plans have changed, rescheduling is preferable to cancelling — your visit fee stays against the new slot, and it remains adjustable against your project if you proceed with PaintUp.

If PaintUp needs to change or cancel a scheduled visit for operational reasons, we will contact you to arrange another slot.

Where a refund is approved, it is processed as described in Refunds below, in accordance with applicable law and the payment provider's processing timelines.

06

Estimates and Online Calculators

Any cost generated using a PaintUp website calculator is an indicative estimate only.

Online estimates may be based on information such as:

  • Property type
  • Approximate area
  • Number of rooms
  • Service selected
  • Paint or finish category
  • Surface condition
  • User-provided information

An online estimate is not a final quotation or binding project price. Actual pricing may differ after physical inspection and measurement.

07

Quotations

After assessment, PaintUp may provide a written quotation containing details such as:

  • Scope of work
  • Areas covered
  • Surface preparation
  • Products or materials
  • Number of coats where applicable
  • Selected finishes
  • Repairs
  • Labour
  • Estimated timeline
  • Taxes
  • Project price
  • Payment schedule
  • Warranty

The quotation becomes applicable once accepted by the customer within its stated validity period.

08

Quotation Validity

Every quotation may remain valid for a specified period. After the validity period expires, PaintUp may revise the quotation due to changes in:

  • Material prices
  • Labour costs
  • Taxes
  • Scope
  • Site conditions
  • Product availability

The quotation itself shows the applicable validity period.

09

Changes to the Scope

If the customer requests additional work after the project has been confirmed, it will be treated as a change in scope. Examples include:

  • Additional rooms
  • Additional walls
  • Additional repair work
  • Changing finishes
  • Upgrading paint
  • Adding waterproofing
  • Adding woodwork
  • Adding designer finishes

PaintUp may provide an additional quotation or change order. Additional work will not automatically be included in the original project price.

10

Hidden or Unexpected Site Conditions

Some conditions cannot reasonably be identified until work begins. Examples may include:

  • Hidden dampness
  • Loose plaster
  • Internal cracks
  • Previously concealed repairs
  • Weak surfaces
  • Water damage
  • Multiple old coating layers
  • Structural defects

If additional work becomes necessary, PaintUp will explain the issue and seek customer approval before carrying out chargeable additional work.

11

To allow the project to proceed safely and on schedule, the customer is responsible for:

Property Access

Providing reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours.

Approvals

Providing colour, finish, product and other required approvals on time.

12

Furniture and Property Protection

Customers should remove particularly valuable, fragile or sensitive items before work begins. PaintUp should be informed in advance about any item requiring special handling.

13

Colours and Finishes

Paint colours and decorative finishes may appear different depending on:

  • Lighting
  • Surrounding colours
  • Surface condition
  • Screen or device display
  • Batch variation
  • Application technique
  • Natural material variation

Digital colour previews are indicative. Customers should approve final colour or finish selections before application.

For handcrafted Designer Wall finishes, some natural variation is expected and is not necessarily considered a defect.

14

Materials

PaintUp may use materials and products from third-party manufacturers. Product performance, technical specifications and manufacturer warranties remain subject to the applicable manufacturer’s terms.

Where a specific product or brand is included in the PaintUp quotation, substitutions should not be made without customer approval unless an equivalent alternative becomes necessary because of availability or another legitimate reason. Any approved change should be documented.

15

Project Timelines

PaintUp will provide an estimated project timeline based on the agreed scope. Project timelines are estimates and may change due to circumstances such as:

  • Additional customer-requested work
  • Delayed approvals
  • Product availability
  • Weather
  • Drying or curing requirements
  • Hidden site conditions
  • Building restrictions
  • Lack of site access
  • Utility interruptions
  • Safety concerns
  • Events outside PaintUp's reasonable control

PaintUp will endeavour to communicate material changes to the customer.

16

Project Payments

The applicable payment schedule will be shown in the quotation or project agreement. Payments may include stages such as:

  • Booking amount
  • Project confirmation
  • Work commencement
  • Progress payment
  • Final payment

The exact structure may differ by project size and service. Payments should be made only through PaintUp-approved payment methods.

17

Taxes and Invoices

Applicable taxes, including GST where required, will be reflected in the quotation or invoice. PaintUp will issue applicable invoices in accordance with the transaction and relevant tax requirements.

Customers requiring specific billing details should provide them before the invoice is generated.

18

Late or Outstanding Payments

If an agreed payment becomes overdue, PaintUp may, where reasonably necessary:

  • Pause further work
  • Delay deployment
  • Withhold completion documents
  • Withhold warranty activation until eligible outstanding project payments are cleared

Any such action remains subject to the applicable project agreement and law.

19

Project Completion and Handover

Before handover, PaintUp may:

  • Review the completed scope
  • Carry out touch-ups
  • Conduct a quality check
  • Clean the relevant work areas
  • Conduct a customer walkthrough
  • Record project completion

Customers should identify visible concerns during the final walkthrough wherever reasonably possible. This does not remove any applicable warranty rights.

  • Pin code
  • Service category
  • Team availability
  • Project size
  • Property conditions

Submitting an enquiry or paying for a site visit does not automatically guarantee PaintUp will accept the final project. If PaintUp cannot service a booked location, the applicable site visit payment should be refunded where appropriate.

30

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PaintUp will be responsible only for losses that arise directly from its obligations under the applicable project agreement.

PaintUp should not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from matters outside the agreed service scope or PaintUp's reasonable control.
