The Oberoi Residence

Venetian plaster lives or dies by its relationship with the light in the room. This living room takes strong west sun in the evening and warm lamplight after dark, so the sample panels were reviewed at both hours before a single wall was committed.

Matching the room, not a swatch

Our applicator mixed six trial tints against the client’s existing walnut sideboard and bouclé upholstery. The final blend carries a warm grey base with a barely-there pearl burnish — visible when the light rakes across it, invisible head-on.

• Three-coat lime plaster, hand-burnished
• Tint custom-matched on site against the client’s furniture
• Sealed with a matte wax for washability
